Stitch Fix is a personal styling service for women, men, and kids. They offer boxes called “fixes” and you can order a fix on demand, or schedule a subscription.
One of the main benefits of Stitch Fix is their Style Shuffle feature that allows you to swipe through style offerings and like or dislike them. This lets your stylist have a better understanding of your personal style!
I have been trying out Stitch Fix for the past few months and I have received three boxes in total. I wanted to test out the service over time to see how well I felt that the items I was sent matched my personal style.
What Comes in Your Box?
Each Stitch Fix box comes with five different items. These items can include tops, jeans, sweaters, coats, shoes, and even accessories. Some of the items can be used to create outfits together, or can be styled with pieces you already have in your closet. With each box, you are assigned a stylist to choose pieces custom for you based on your style profile as well as any requests you might leave for specific items or styles.
The first box that I received had some really nice items included! I left a note for my stylist to include pieces to style for the fall and winter seasons. My first box was included in an unboxing and try-on haul I created.
After receiving your items, you have three days to make your decisions and check out. Any items you decide not to purchase you will send back to Stitch Fix directly. If you choose not to keep any items, you will still be charged with the $25 styling fee, as your stylist still worked on curating your box.
If you decide to keep any items, your $25 styling fee will be applied to the purchase you make. This is where the $25 referral code comes in handy… If you decide to purchase a $50 sweater in your box, you can use the credit towards your purchase and it will only cost you $25.
I think it is great that Stitch Fix allows users to apply credit to purchases. That is one of my personal favorite elements of the box process and I think that really makes the experience worth it.
Is It Worth It?
Overall, I really enjoyed my experience trying out Stitch Fix. By the time I got to my third box, I felt that it was really suited to my personal style. The pieces that I was sent were ones that I would pick up if I was shopping at a store.
Stitch Fix is great to try out for a variety of reasons. If you have trouble finding items that match your style in the store, your stylist can pick items for you. If you have issues with sizing, you are able to fill out all of your info so they can send you the sizes you need. If you are looking to try out a new trend or are shopping for an event, Stitch Fix takes out all of the hard work of fun items! It is also great to use right now, as many people are not able to shop inside stores.
